Willow wardrobe pops up and heads straight for The Heart
Willow Wardrobe opens up a pop-up shop in The Heart Shopping Centre, Walton on Thames, Surrey. The shop will be bursting at the seams with donated pieces. The rails will be stocked with clothes generously given by designers such as Issa, Alice Temperley, Whistles, Reiss and French Connection to name but a few, alongside pre-loved quality items from women within our community.
Willow Wardrobe will pop-up from Friday 14th October to Monday 17thOctober 2011. All proceeds will be donated to national charity, the Willow Foundation.
Sarah Jarrett, Surrey based stylist, is spearheading the initiative. “So many people have put so much thought and effort into this event. The funds raised from the shop will make a real difference to those dealing with life-threatening illness. We are only here for four days, we need people to come down, grab a fashion bargain – don’t delay – when they’re gone, they’re gone!”
“The Heart Shopping Centre is a great community venue and I am overwhelmed by the generosity of O&H Walton Ltd in donating the space. We have also had the most tremendous response from women who have given fantastic items from their wardrobe that no longer see the light of day.”
The Willow Foundation was set up by football legend, Bob Wilson and his wife Megs in 1999 following the death of their daughter to cancer aged 31. It is the only national charity that provides psychological and emotional support through the provision of special day experiences for those aged 16 to 40 living with a lifethreatening illness.
Mark Middleton, General Manager at The Heart Shopping Centre said “We are thrilled to be supporting the great work of the Willow Foundation.” Check out some of the donations online to Willow Wardrobe at www.willowwardrobe.co.uk
