Jigsaw Neighbourhood: Brighton with Hannah Crosskey

Back to Inspiration
May 13, 2019

Seaside breeze, arcade lights and pebbled beaches. Tracing back our heritage, we visit our first Jigsaw store, which opened in 1970 near The Lanes of Brighton. Exploring her favourite neighbourhood, we chat to fashion and travel influencer, Hannah Crosskey.

What do you love the most about Brighton?

What I love most about Brighton is how diverse it is. It’s constantly brimming with people and there’s always an event or activity going on.

Best place for a coffee pit stop?

My favourite place for a coffee is probably Flour Pot Bakery. There’s one down by the West Pier which is beautiful on a sunny day.  I’ll always go for an iced coffee, or a chai latte and a slice of banana bread.

For pre-dinner drinks?

The Ivy has just opened in Brighton and it has the most gorgeous bar inside. The building used to be an old post office.

Favourite lunch spot?

Red Roaster! I’d recommend the Shakshuka. The interiors are beautiful too; think marble, brass and greenery!

For a little culture?

The Pavilion - an exotic palace in the centre of Brighton with a colourful history.  It was built for King George IV.

Your most-visited?

My most visited is probably The Lanes! There’s so many independent shops, vintage shops and little cafe and restaurants. You could get lost for hours. A great place to visit is Coffee at 33, a cool plant shop called The Plant room, and for anything vintage, try Dirty Harry’s.

Describe a perfect Brighton day.

My perfect day in Brighton has to involve the beach! If it’s sunny, I'll walk Ronnie (our French bulldog) along the promenade and pick up an ice cream from Morocco’s . But beware! It’s that good, you’ll probably be queuing.

Can you tell us a fun fact or hidden secret about Brighton?

Rumour has it we're soon opening a SoHo this space.
