Interior designer and stylist Dee Campling shows us three fabulous ways to style the same white plate for Christmas Day. Read on to find your favourite.

“You absolutely cannot beat a pure white dinner service. It’s so versatile and the neutral nature of the colour allows other elements of the dinner party to take centre stage. If you’re a brilliant cook then it can be the food that takes centre stage of course. If, like me though, you’re not a great cook, then understated white tableware allows you to get as creative as you like with your table styling skills.”

“This look is all about white and silver and very little other colour. To complete this look I’ve styled the Purity tableware with luxury silver crackers, star candles and a silver charger and added texture with linen tablecloth. A little colour has been added with Winters Mist faux wreath and Winters Mist faux garland.”

“Create your own white Christmas with this fresh and light look and cosy it up by lighting the candles – the candlelight will reflect beautifully in the shiny surfaces and stop the look from seeming cold or sterile.”

 

 

Kitsch

“I love the bright colours in this range and who doesn’t love a dog in reindeer ears and a bauble covered jumper? Here I’ve picked up on the red of the doggy decoration and added red bingo game crackers, a snow globe cloche and a monochromatic table cloth.”

“I’m a huge fan of foraging and here I’ve collected snow berries, pine cones and ferns from the woods to embellish the table. It’s really fun to go out and collect foliage from the woods and has the added bonus of being free too.”

“The colours and textures of the foliage, together with the rustic wood of the table really highlight the clean lines of the tableware. I’ve accessorised the look with jute coasters, gold bells and tartan crackers.”
