Interior insider Emily Murray from The Pink House took us into her beaut home to show us three easy-to-craft pumpkin ideas that are both spooky and stylish.
Jack-o-planters
Fill these Jack-o-planters with your favourite flowers or a cactus for something a bit different this Halloween. For something super-sweet, get your hands on some of our baby munchkin pumpkins and fill with mini succulents.

Cut a hole in the top with the scalpel in our carving kit and hollow out using the plastic scoop. Then use the knife to cut out your Jack-o-lantern face. If you’re not as crafty as Emily, get your hands on our sticker pumpkin faces instead and avoid any carving.
Emily painted hers white with a pretty pink (naturally) geometric print. You can go to town on different designs, from totally gothic ones – painted all-black and filled with purple dahlias – or something pastel-ly, filled with your favourite houseplant. BOO-tiful.
Pastel trio
Things look better in threes, and Emily’s second pumpkin trick makes the cutest trio. Around the fireplace, up the stairs, on the windowsill… these pumpkins are designed to add a sprinkling of Halloween vibes without going full-on ghoulish.

Emily went for classic stripes in pink, peach and yellow – easy but effective. If you’re not much of a painter, use stencils to keep it looking polished.
And if that feels like too much work, we’ve got glow in the dark stickers, Halloween tape, spooky cobwebs, creepy glittery decorations and a whole craft pack if you want to go all-out.
Treat bowl
A crafty way to offer out treats (or tricks), this pumpkin hack is super-simple but looks totally professional. As well as filling yours with candy, there’s plenty of affordable and alternative treat ideas. Think trendy crackers, Halloween noise shakers and classic toy bumper packs.
What you’ll need
Sainsbury’s Home gold drawing pins

Get your hands on a green gourd or squash for something a bit different – or stipple a classic orange one with some chalk paint – and hollow to fill with your favourite sweets. Emily used gold drawing pins to create a metallic studded effect the whole way around for a clever finishing touch.
And if you don’t fancy all the pulp and pumpkin seeds that come with carving a pumpkin, don’t worry. We’ve got plenty of alternatives. Light up ones, pumpkin stacks, pumpkin balloons, paper pumpkin lanterns , blue ones and even a Peel the Pumpkin game.
All that decorating calls for some scary snacks and we’ve got the decor all planned out. Whip up some bloodcurdling red velvet cupcakes with this set or serve up some Vampire’s Kiss punch in these copper cocktail glasses and Halloween straws.
Happy haunting!
