It’s been a tough year for the community of Walton-on-Thames and as we head into a second lockdown right on top of Christmas, The Heart Shopping Centre is looking to spread some cheer to those who have gone above and beyond this year by giving away a £250 shopping spree at the Centre.Running between the 5th of November and 14th of December, the community will have the chance to nominate a friend, family member or somebody they feel has gone the extra mile this year to help others with their “Time to Shine” competition. To enter all you have to do is head over to The Heart website (www.heartshopping.co.uk) and complete the nomination form which can be found on the What’s On page or via the homepage. On the 14th of December, nominations will be shortlisted to four where The Heart’s social media community will then vote for the winner who will be able to decide which stores within The Heart they would like their £250 worth of vouchers for - they can spread them between five shops or less! 
Mark Middleton, Centre Manager at The Heart comments on the campaign: “Our Time to Shine competition is a chance for the Shopping Centre to say thank you and give something back to those who have helped the local community this year, not only through acts of kindness relating to the pandemic or lockdown but to say thank you to anybody who has gone the extra mile for a member of the community this year. It’s been a challenging year for all and although we are now heading into a second lockdown, we are determined to spread a bit of happiness and festive cheer.” The Heart Shopping Centre, which is located in Walton-on-Thames, offers over 40 retailers including popular national brands Next, Paperchase, Rituals and Smiggle, as well as local independent retailers Walton Cameras and Surrey Home & Gifts. Although the majority of non-essential stores are taking part in the four-week lockdown,
The Heart does have several essential stores open. These include Poundland, Courts Pharmacy, Holland & Barrett and Sainsbury’s, The Centre also has several retailers who are offering click and collect and takeaway services - please refer to our website for more details.
