From midnight tonight, Wednesday the 4th of November 2020, The Heart Shopping Centre in Walton-on-Thames will be lifting the barriers to provide free parking for all visitors as the community prepares to head into a four-week lockdown following the Government’s announcement last week.
The Heart, which is located in Walton-on-Thames and is home to over 40 retailers, a public library and on-site gym, has 800 car parking spaces which will be available for free until the 2nd of December.
Although the majority of stores will close from this evening until the lockdown is lifted, the Centre is home to several essential stores. These include Sainsbury’s - which also has a Lloyds Pharmacy inside, Holland & Barrett, Courts Pharmacy and Poundland. These stores will remain open however, their opening times may be subject to change - please visit The Heart website (www.heartshopping.co.uk) or follow them on Facebook and Instagram for up to date information.
Mark Middleton, Centre Manager at The Heart comments: “We are incredibly saddened by the announcement of a second lockdown however, the health and safety of our shoppers is a priority. Our essential stores will remain open, as will several stores including The Body Shop who will be offering a click and collect service. When visiting these stores we ask that you respect the one-way system in place and retain a safe distance from other shoppers and team members within the stores.”
The Heart Shopping Centre will be keeping their social media accounts and website up to date with changes to store opening times and restrictions in-line with Government announcements.
