The Heart Shopping Centre is excited to announce that this September, they will be hosting their popular fun day to raise money for two fantastic charities.
On Sunday, 25th September, between 11 am and 4 pm, the local community will be invited to attend The Heart for their “Walton Charity Day”. Fun-packed activities for all ages will be dotted around the Centre for everyone to enjoy. Activities already planned for this action-packed day include; a character meets and greet, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon modelling, a raffle, Kids’ monster trail, tombola and much more.
All activities will be available for a small donation per person; after all, there are two main objectives of this event; 1, to have fun and 2, to raise money for two very well-deserving charities.
The charities benefiting from The Heart’s Walton Community Day this year are Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Centre’s charity of the year, Rainbow Trust.
Mark Middleton, Centre Manager at The Heart Shopping Centre, said this about the upcoming event. “This will be the third fun day that The Heart has hosted as part of the One Great Day initiative supported by Savills and several other asset management companies across the country. Last year we raised over £2,000, which was a fantastic achievement during a pandemic.
We appreciate that the world is currently an expensive place. Still, we would very much appreciate any support with donations from our visitors during the day as 100% of the money raised will go to our selected charities. The events we are hosting are always popular with our visitors, so we hope to see some familiar faces and new visitors to The Heart.”
For those who can attend the Centre’s fun day, donations will be available by cash or contactless payment. For those who can sadly not visit, a JustGiving link will be promoted on the Centre’s website and social media channels until the end of September.
