About Momentum Children’s Charity

When your child is diagnosed with cancer or a life-challenging condition, your world stops.

Momentum Children’s Charity exists so that when a family is facing this unimaginable crisis, they don’t have to cope alone. Through their Family Support Workers, they provide personally tailored support to the entire family, both in hospital and at home. Their support includes counselling, creative therapies (such as play, art and music), as well as special experiences and respite breaks to ease some of the stresses that come with a gruelling treatment plan. If the unthinkable happens, and a child dies, Momentum offers bereavement support and stand by families for as long as they’re needed. They also improve the environment for children treated in local hospitals with their children’s ward refurbishments, transforming bare, clinical areas into bright, child-friendly spaces.

These small, personal touches make a huge difference and help give families the momentum they need to keep going.
